Who Are We?
Wing Village Bowls Club is set in the heart of Wing Village. We are part of the local sports community alongside the Tennis and Football clubs.
We are primarily a Lawn Bowls Club, playing outdoors from April to the end of September . When the outdoor season ends and it gets a bit chilly we play Short Mat Bowls inside (Oct - March) at the Sports and Social Club next door and we also play indoors at Bletchley Leisure Centre on Thursdays.
Founded in 1990, we pride ourselves as being an inclusive club. We welcome all ages, sexes and abilities. Trying out bowls is a chance to meet new people, take up some gentle exercise and come along to some of our many social events. Our Ladies (The Vixens) are particularly acive socially, playing golf, visiting the theatre and cinema and generally looking for ways to have fun.
We hold 'roll ups' (practice sessions) on a Tuesday from 5pm and Thursdays at 2pm for anyone who fancies a go. Please just turn up with flat shoes on and the rest we will take care of. We can supply woods to play with and lovely club members to help you get started.
