Wing Village Bowls Club was founded in 1990, but as there wasn't a Bowls Green until 1994 all games were played away. In 1994 the green was laid and a Portacabin was donated by Leighton Buzzard Post Office to use as our clubhouse. Extra facilities were purchased through fund raising and a very nice donation from Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. In appreciation to Sir Rothschilds' donation the 5 Arrows on the Club Emblem are a symbol of his 5 Children.

The green was laid by Ray Spooner who also laid the greens for Cheddington, Winslow and Kodak Bowls Clubs, unfortunately Kodak Bowls club no longer exists. Wing, Cheddington and Winslow compete for The Spooner Trophy every year in his memory.

Wing Bowls Club is affiliated to Bowls England and Bucks Bowls Association.

The Season runs from April till September. Most weekends we play Friendlies against other local clubs, and during the week we have League and Cup games which are taken a little bit more seriously. We also have our own Internal Competitions. New members are always welcome to our very friendly club, no experience is necessary, just a sense of humour if you are trying it for the first time. Please come along on a Tuesday evening from 6.15pm and join in the fun.
